THRIVING IN TROUBLED TIMES

Let’s get real. No Pollyanna. No “put on a happy face.” No fake-it-till you-make-it fun and games. The past eight months have been brutal. Maybe you lost your job, or had to move. Maybe the pressures of “sheltering in place” tested your marriage. Or maybe just trying to hold it together and pretend everything’s OK is getting the best of you.

It’s been a tough year. That’s why this announcement is so exciting. I’ve written a new book, Thriving in Troubled Times: Meeting God in the Middle of Our Mess. During these difficult days, it’s critical for us to grab hold of the truths in this book.

I began writing it last March, while in quarantine aboard the Grand Princess. When we became the top news story, God switched my focus, and I wrote Thriving in Quarantine, which chronicled our family’s misadventures on the “Corona Cruise.” The book went on to become a number-one best seller on Amazon.

Now that we’re all “in the same boat” (sorry for the terrible pun), we need encouragement, hope and inspiration to continue. Thriving in Troubling Times will restore your hope, fill your heart with peace and rid your mind of worry. Many have already contacted me, sharing how much this book has changed their lives. Check out the reviews on Amazon and you’ll see.

Thriving in Troubled Times consists of fifty devotions, filled with inspiring stories, scriptures and applications. The paperback sells for 10.99 and the Kindle for 4.99 on Amazon—just in time for Christmas. I promise it will impact you or I will personally refund your money.

When Jesus called Peter to walk on water, he operated in the supernatural. But as soon as he took his eyes off Jesus, he sank. In the midst of our struggles, like Peter, we all tend to put our eyes on the “wind and the waves.” Thriving in Troubled Times is a tool to help us put our eyes back onto Jesus.

The more you’re hurting, the more the Lord wants to meet you. That’s why He commands us to “rejoice in our suffering” (Romans 5:3). God wouldn’t tell us to do that, if it were impossible. We don’t need to merely survive through our troubled times. God wants so much more for us. He truly desires that we Thrive in Troubled Times.
