GOD'S CHISEL
This past week has been a tough one for us. While in the hospital with an infection, Linda’s doctor discovered that she has a large blood clot in her leg. After being released, she has not felt well at all, and is very weak. Please continue praying. We’re still clinging to the hope of Linda being healed, but it feels like a pretty thin thread at times. God can do miracles, and that’s what we need right now.
In the midst of this process, we are experiencing so many hidden blessings. I’m profoundly aware that none of us has a promise of tomorrow. Each day—each moment— is precious. Grab hold of what’s important and let go of everything else. God is so good!
Ephesians 2:10 states that we are God’s workmanship— his masterpiece. He’s constantly working in our lives, chiseling away the stuff that is not of him, in order to transform us into his image. Not a fun process, but one that we willingly surrender to the Lord.
For this week’s “article” I want to pass along this video my son shared with me that unpacks this theme of God’s “chiseling.” It’s moving and powerful, and depicts the place where many of us are right now. Simply click on the link below or copy and paste. If that doesn’t work, the video is entitled “God’s Chisel” by The Skit Guys. Here’s the link:
