UPDATE
The world got a tiny bit darker shortly after midnight this morning. Linda’s light in this world was extinguished (Philippians 2:15). She peacefully went home to be with Jesus. We are at peace and relieved that she is no longer suffering and is just beginning to experience the life she was intended to live. She is no longer in the “land of the dying” but is now in the “land of the living”— more alive than she has ever been.
We are doing well as a family, with lots of support from each other, and from friends like you all. Thank you to those who have written words of encouragement over the past few weeks. I read them all, even if I don’t get to respond.
Second Timothy 4:6-8 comes to mind. For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
